Floating swimming pool to clean water in rivers of New York City.
A team of designers and architects have joined forces to develop + Pool, an initiative to build floating pools in the rivers of New York City. In addition to their use as a multi-purpose swimming facilities, the + Pool will also improve and take advantage of the natural resources that exist throughout the city.
The walls of the pool will be constructed from engineered layers of various filters that will help clean water that fills the pool. The project aims to make rivers that were historically used for recreation, habitable once again.
